Miss Harris former headteacher at KG comp recently died

Although Ms Harris was known for her love of cats and her catch phrase 'thankyou very much" she was incredibly dedicated to the school knowing every pupil by name. And devoting Her every waking hour to trying to make it work as a community. As an accomplished water colour artist herself she understood the importance of art in the curriculum ( sadly underestimated today) and thanks to her support we were able to build up a wide ranging dept to help folks not only learn to draw but do pottery fabric printing .stage design and animation. Partly to exam level but mainly for fun as a way of actually enjoying life and gaining a feeling of achievement . I , and many other members of Staff and pupils owe her a lot.
