Looking back.....

I went to Harton Comp from 1990-95
Had a good laugh, really.
Miss the school dinners and the 32-a-side football match at break times.
Oh, and a blonde lass that sat next to me in Dr Tovey's Biology class!
Wish I could go back and laugh at Mr Bryan (IT at the time) and Miss Donkin (Maths at the time).
During the last week before I left, both said to me that I'll never make anything of myself, especially where Pc's or Maths is involved!
Currently working in Production, handling £3.5m worth of stock from Japan, and planning a Machine Shop that operates 24 hours a day, six days a week.
Processes that involve a lot of Pc's and Mathematics.
So, Miss Donkin, Mr Bryan.....Ha!

toledolite: Gofton, Ditchburn, etc LEFT in 1990. MR CD started Harton school in 1990. Not exactly a mathematical enigma

Mr Scaife (Physics teacher) once laughed at me when I disclosed I'd like to become a figter pilot in the RAF. I have/had the last laugh: I flew Tornado in the 1990 Iraqi conflict

Does he still have that clapped out white Golf GTi or has he moved on?
My niece has just left Harton or is just about to, after her exams... It doesn't seem two minutes ago that I was in the same boat. How time flies (well, for me it did in anyway. lol)

i left in 2001... never looked back... hated the place... twas boring... they all say i not do well cos i dropped out as soon as i could... never went to day of college yet... meh... i doing good... driving sports car and looking to get myself a home soon... up yours teachers who say i do poorly in life... i doing better than you!

hi survivers of harton.
i have just been checking out shields web sites cause im travelling at the mo and was kinda missing the place. not enough to want to come back mind.
i left in 96 or 97 but i was in the same year as most of you guys. i do remember the guy with the turbin to, sorry i forget your name though.
i miss the school dinners to like crazy, but i qualified as a teacher this summer so i get to have them for the rest of my life now. thats not a great thought actualy.
well have in fun in sunny shields im in san deigo at the mo, i think the weather is slightly better here.

WENT TO HARTON FROM ABOUT 95 - 2000 WENT BY THE NAME OF ADAM NYBERG (HAD A SISTER (KAREN) WHO WENT FROM 90 - 94/95 I THINK) I WAS IN MR GRABHAMS CLASS ANYONE REMEMBER ME, ANYWAY IF YOU DO E-MAIL ME WITH ABUSE OR SOMETHING. ANYWAY REMEMBER SCHOOL LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY (UNFORTUNATE I KNOW) I HATED IT ENJOYED HISTORY THOUGH HAD MISS HARTRIDGE FOUND HER QUITE FIT
GEOGRAPHY WAS sh*te MR THORTON TALKED BALLS AND SAID I WOULD MOUNT TO NOTHING ON A REGULAR BASIS IF I DIDNT PULL MY FINGER OUT, WHICH I NEVER DID. HOWEVER I NOW SERVE IN THE ROYAL NAVY SUBMARINE SERVICE AS A COMMS TECH 1ST CLASS, EARNING A HALF DECENT WAGE SO MR THORTON CAN POKE HIS WAYS OF WISDOM. no sorry no relation, got wrong school as well it was harton infants and juniors i went to but lived around the corner to harton comp dated a lad from there though kieth ??? lived round corner to harton comp harton house road think was called
