From the early seventies, I also Mr Thornton who did the most fantastic black 'n' whites sketches from around the town shown in the Gazette.

Also, Mr Galloway, Mr Stewart the physics teacher, Mr Buchard who taught maths, Mr Brown (I think) who taught religeous education, Mrs Anderson who taught music, Mr Smith (I think) who taught art and I think, Mr Rawlinson the head teacher who walked with a stick. He had the most unusual way of letting any daft lads settle a dispute, you just had to get the boxing gloves on and that's that.

Hope this is helpful.

I was there in the 70's. Remember Mrs. Carr, Pyle and the others.
Anyone remember classmates, Michelle Harper, Elaine Odix, Angie Dowson. I left to emigrate to Canada...my folks moved back to S/S last year and I'm heading back for a visit in August. Great to have a mini reunion with CPC, if there's an interest.
Cheers,
Alison.

Early to mid 70's.....

Mr Pippet....lovely fellow, dedicated to sport.
Mr Clemence...sports teacher who also had to teach us maths at one time!
Mr Bill Wilson...sports, did a lot to promote sports in the area, even after he retired.
Mr Pyle...at school I thought he was a right $£$% but at a reunion a few years ago he was brilliant!
Mr Stewart...suave at the time and still pretty tasty at the reunion.Used to jump on his desk and kick it when he wanted the class to come to attention.
JAB...was Mr Bruce, woodwork, named so before I went to Cleadon because of his resemeblence to Hitler and thus the Nazi salute was fetched into it........tenuous link, I've always thought.
Mr Gerrard....set many a young girls heart racing in the mid 70's.
Mr Smith....he took art in the prefabs.
Mr Thornton....I'm sure it was he that had the plimsoll, he'd write his name on it backwards, in chalk, then smack you with it so's his name was on your clothes..wouldn't be allowed these days!I think he left Cleadon for a couple of years at Redwell then came back.
Head Teacher....Mr Rallison....yes he had one leg but a sense of fair play. As far as I can tell, he's the most fondly remembered of all the staff.
BUT..WHO did the pottery classes? Was that Mr Smith, too?
And no-one can forget Miss Welsh!

I remember Cleadon Park School. Was there from 1964 - 1969.
There was Mr. Rawlinson- Head Master, Mrs. Pollard - Library, Mr. Charlton, Mr Pyle - Maths, Mr Burke - English, Mr Pinkinton - R.E, Mr Atkinson (metal head) - Metal work, Mr. Bruce -Woodwork, Mr Spours - Woodwork, Doc Lyons - Tech Drawing, Mr Brown - Biology, Mr. Knox, Mr. Smith - Art, Mr Pippin & Cardew Robinson - P.E.,Mr Galloway - Chemistry, Mr Stewart - Physics.
Who else remembers? Unfortunatly I have no photo's.

just going through old teachers at cleadon park, mr thornton as well as the trick with the slipper he used to put a pencil in between each finger of one hand and squeeze the fingers together, another one was he would make you stand on a chair and if you had sideboards would lift you up by them and make you jump off the chair keeping your sideboards the same hight as you jumped
