Sorry Colombo
My mind was on the Harbour lights, Lookout, Beacon end of the Lawe Top. The Turks Head has gone to the great Brewery in the sky.

It doesn't qualify as a pub as it has to be larger than 25sq feet.

Olive (don't know her second name) used to have some smashing lock ins at the Look Out. I can remember leaving there one New Years Day after being there all night. It was daylight when we left. Can anyone remember the bloke who used to do tricks with a piece of elastic?

I used to work at the Harbour Lights some years back before it was revamped (and spoiled imo) it lost a lot of it's former charm being pulled about by builders and the new Scottish owner/manager

Colombo wrote:Babooshka, when you worked in the Lights did you ever come across a big chap called Bill Murray? He used to captain a ship I think, loved a drink when he was home (too much), was probably always slurring. Would have been in the first half of the 80s :?:
hmm can't recall but I met loads of interesting people there - I'm trying to remember what year I was there, anyways a really nice lady managed the place when I worked there (Helen I think??) her husband worked offshore, she was always good to me.

Funny but I was out for a walk tonight and looked across at S/S and noticed a block of white flats where that other pub further along used to be..I've never noticed before
