Don't miss this fab night out at The Cluny in Newcastle! We are remembering Marc Bolan in his 40th Anniversary year. Please come along and invite your friends! DATE: Saturday 18th March 2017.
VENUE: The Cluny, 36 Lime Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 2PQ.
Calling All Destroyers, Electric Warriors, Metal Gurus and Raw Ramp Dreamy Ladies........Come and join the Children of the Revolution for an old skool T.Rex Disco Party at The Cluny to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the last UK T.Rex tour which began at Newcastle City Hall in March 1977.
Doors open 5pm.
Born to Boogie DVD– sound and vision will be shown followed by some rare and wonderful T.Rex TV and “live” performances.
T.Rex Disco Party will commence around 7pm – until midnight.
This celebration will be dedicated 100% to original Marc Bolan and T.Rex video performances and sound recordings.
All the greatest hits of the original 20th Century Boy including Metal Guru, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Get It On, Children of the Revolution, New York City as well as lesser known but equally brilliant B-sides and album tracks.
Tickets are £6 in advance and £7.00 on the door. Proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society. There will be a raffle for T.Rex/Bolan memorabilia including CDs books and records – and possibly some rare vintage posters.
It's gonna be grand.......
