hi all im just new to the site and was wondering can any one remember Pukka on ocean road.

What did you think of it?

the staff were ok and the doormen wernt as bad as some bars

Weyaye...Pukka was a must on County days lol!! Image Played a couple of gigs there as well when they were putting bands on. It was a grubby hole of a place but a nice place to go get some cheap drink and watch some decent live bands :) What has it turned into now? :? I can't think!

It was just down from Roxannes. Called 'Pukka Wine Bar' or something like that but don't believe the name lol :lol:

Yes i remember pukka, i got my foot sliced open on a broken bottle on the floor :roll: trust me... in fact when i think about it iv got quite a few drunken scars :lol:

i put up with the dump for 6 year

I thought that's were they meant aswell, does anyone remember the lad who used to run that place? he worked on the buses afterwards..

did pukka shut down becuase it didnt have a license to sell alcohol? i was there on the last night when my friends band were playing.

hiya well i thaught pukka was a dump but after working there 6 years you get used to it. it didnt shut because of no licence it shut because the company that bought it went bust. was a busy little bar for a weekend.

I LOVED Pukka. It was an excellent place to start off. Used to have the 50p shots of firewater! I think the Manager was called Emma, and I remember a Trish? working the bar? It was good!
