Re: The census

Danet, I am pretty sure you were supposed to put in your birthdate. It said if you didn't know it exactly, then to put in how old you were. I had hubby, and the 4 others, when it came time for their details under their name, sitting with me, and...filling it in, we all looked at that question re: a...

Re: The census

Nearly 24 hrs after the crash & the website is still unavailable. Live this down Turdbull & the ABS .... WHAT A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENTS. Obviously still no go :? I am beginning to wonder if those that didn't get to do it, may be in a better position as to not have their information compromised by the...

Re: The census

Well thank goodness I completed mine by 6.55pm! 8) I had heard, it was suggested that all do it at 8pm, but what they should have said was, between say, 6pm and 10 pm, because that's when people are likely to be home after work, relaxed, had dinner, watched the news etc. on an ordinary Tuesday night...

Re: The census

I decided to fill the form online earlier, just before 7 pm. And it all went through without any problem, was thanked, and received a receipt number as well. :D Who said there was a hard and fast rule we all had to go online to fill the census form at 8 pm? And look at all the troubles you've all ha...

Re: The census

I think it's ridiculous that so many people, such as my aging mother, trying to phone for paper copies, and can't get through. As for destroying all the info, that is really disgraceful, and should be kept, such as USA have done, and it has helped me locate the rellies from all their past census inf...

Re: Glaciers Mendenhall & Dawes, Alaska, the final frontier.

One thing I will say, it looks like you would be flying with Delta, going to LA, then onto Vancouver, it is mad, hectic, and be prepared for a stressful time in long lines, whilst they slowly take all your id, fingerprints, photos etc before you get your luggage and find your way to where the Delta ...

Re: Who's up next?

How on earth, does one get to keep or take home a copy of that ballot paper? When one walks in, has to check their name & address, answer the question ' have you voted anywhere else' and then, they give you the initialed papers which you fill in however, then have to put into a sloted container. So ...

Absolutely stunning Danet... If there is one place in the world that my Mrs wants to go it's there. So I will not show her these pics in fear it'll cost me a fortune...!!! Thanks for posting, :D Bluey, we never thought we would do it, due to it being quite an expense, but a deal came up that ...

Re: Who's up next?

We voted early, as wasn't sure if we would be going interstate. About 3 million Australians voted early apparently. And as for voting, many that voted for their party of either Liberal or Labour over the years, did what is called a "protest vote", much like what Gnads did, and voted for another part...

Re: Who's up next?

I can't believe the size & complexity of the Senate ballot paper no wonder the queues were as slow as a wet week. I must say, the size of the ballot paper was longer than a toilet roll!! And the voting booths were so small, everyone was sort of 'see-sawing' the paper to read it from one end t...

Not good, very sad so many innocent victims. My condolences to all the families and friends. What's going to happen now? Re: Get ya galoshers out Sherri & Danet

Well, looks like Melbourne got a bit of a reprieve from wild lashings of weather, it went from NSW straight to Tasmania. We had a constant slight drizzle here, grey skies, but that's all. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/wild-weather-spirit-of-tasmania-sailings-cancelled-as-storms-batter-au...
