Brucey will get it right. He'll weed out the no- perfomers like Richardson ,Mcartney ,Ferdinand and even Jones .Robbie Keane will be up for grabs and the lad who scored the wonder goal for Wigan. Not all doom and gloom .Apart from the Beach ball the results against Liverpool and Arsenal were no flukes

Re: Frederick St.

The chimp in Olsen's was kept in terrible conditions in a tiny cage and was naturally very agressive.I vividly remember going with my kid brother to the pet shop and the chimp ,it was called Bo Bo reached out and grabbed the wooly hat off his head .All the animals were kept in deplorable conditions.

Wasn't there a shoe repair business at the top near Laygate where you had to go up loads of steps to get to it? Masons,I think it was called.I worked at Finefair where t he Palace used to be. We earned the princely sum of 2/6d and worked 8 hours a week after school.Loads of free sweets etc. Wink wink

I remember going to Ryton some 50 years ago on a trip from St Frances church. I remember being packed like sardines onto a boat and travelling up the Tyne complete with a packed lunch. Safety regs. would never have allowed such a small boat to travel in such a way today. I also remember the shuggy b...

If I remember right the barber's was Stuart Renwick's and the bakery Robison's.Also there was a bakers called Hossners who made the most fantastic bread. There was always a fight over the crust between me and my brothers .What wonderful memories.
