Re: Are we getting lazy?

And the sad thing is, any chance of proper excercise, like moving to a different chair is out the question
coz the bliddy remote control only works if we are sat right in front of the telly/DVD/music system etc.

At me mother's house, we've all got a bit too excited and gone overboard with fridge magnets. Jeez, can hardly see the fridge now for the pyramids, big ben, eiffel tower, dutch clogs, Scottish bag-piper, rickshaws, KL twin towers, Buckingham Palace, Sydney harbour bridge, edam cheese, golden gate br...

Re: Is this what we pay our taxes for...

There are some seriously sick people out there who do extreme acts like this which I just cannot understand at all. What they put that young child through is almost too painful to think about. But to answer your question Brian, I also believe it's an insult to ask the taxpayer to cough up millions o...

Re: Dying To be Beautiful

I really dont see the facination. Guys say they love lasses like that but its just all talk. They stare at all the size 0 women, etc but ask them honestly and they prefer to hold a woman with a normal body, not a stick. Spot on PG. Those skinny lasses who parade along the catwalks on those fashion ...

Re: Dying with dignity

I know a woman who works up in Darwin, in a hospital. She told a story of how they were treating an aboriginal man, who was old and weak, when he suddenly started asking to be allowed to leave, as he wanted to go sit under his family tree, to be with his ancestors. He begged and begged, but modern ...

Mr A, hope you and your family are having as much fun as we had when we were there 20 years ago. :D Fantastic place to visit and so much to see. :D :D :D Also, although it might not be your immediate choice of places to visit, try to get over the Kennedy Space Centre. I wasn't all that keen to go, b...

Re: Westoe Lane Station

anyone remember the lad from horsley hill juniors who got his foot trapped in the line and the rattler ran over it, it must have been around 1960 give or take a year Remember it well, it was one of the Luthers from the Hill. Which reminds me of an incident from the 1970's, where one of the lads fro...

Re: WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT FAVOURITE MUSIC AND TV PROGRAMMES

I know they're re-runs and you good folks in the UK probably saw these a few years ago

but we always look forward to watching Judge John Deed.

Great cast, good (and believable) story lines, well played.

Re: weddings

From what I've been told, the lads who used to manage The New Ship near the Ridgeway, a couple of years ago, got hitched.

I really don't know about their homelife, but they certainly did a good job at the pub and ran it very well.
