Re: VOTE

I don't see that an opinion on Austria's conscription vote can be held to be party political in the UK.
There you are, randomly consistent as sometimes I usually am.

Re: The council must be slipping up

Hardly a two foot patch of snow left in town today, even though the rest of the north east must have had record amounts. How did the weather go so horridly wrong at the coast?

Lol argument over in one fell swoop.
Hardly, he still doesn't speak to me now, and the incident was over 40 years ago!

Re: Randomness of moderating.

As someone has already mentioned the incident with the BNP in Jarrow was before I was elected to the Council. I went to help some of my trade union colleagues who live in Jarrow hand out a leaflet urging the folk in Jarrow not to vote BNP.Is this clear enough for you. Obviously you're a busy body w...

Re: Shopping on line

My irks and problems with online shopping are these: Never buy clothes or shoes, you cannot try them on to see if they fit first (you can in a shop) Never buy food, you just cannot guarantee its freshness. Never buy some working tools that will be in regular use, they need to be handled first to see...

Being Malaysia, and them being Muslim's, I'm not shocked, or surprised.
Where is the evidence that this "family" were Muslim?
There are a lot of Methodists in this country, that doesn't mean we are all Methodists does it?

Re: Food

Giving waste food to poorer third world states is no answer at all, there are deeper Darwinian evolutionary principles at play in where we live, how we live, why we live, and whether we might live. Better answers would include less processing of food, more fresh food, more mishapen carrots, smaller ...

Re: Union Flag Protests in Belfast

What they all need to try and remember over there is that the decision was democratically made by their democratically elected council, they should get off the streets, go home, and vote against certain councillors at the next election if they feel so strongly about it. South Shields Town Hall routi...

Re: Towncentre Redevelopment Plans

I find the sea fronts at Tynemouth and Whitley Bay to be totally run down, desolate, and depressing. Far worse than anything I've seen in South Shields. I'm broadly supportive of the council's plans although I have reservations, I don't like the idea of losing half of the Market Square to greenery f...
