Re: MARGARET THATCHER DIES ON STAGE

And her joining of the ERM and signing the Single European Act was one in the eye for Europe too.

Re: Clairvoyant Evening

Is it 3, or is it 4 clairvoyants? Surely there's no such thing as unforeseen circumstances?

Or is it three-quarters of one clairvoyant?

Re: Still got yours?

I'd forgotten all about these crowns - I've got one knocking around in it's original sleeve in a box somewhere. They were issued to kids at school and '74 sounds about right - to mark the end of the Corporation.

It's got pride of place next to my 'World's Greatest Lover' badge.

Re: Marsden Grotto

Hi Pete, nice to see you back. It's a pity the pub is closed, but I suspect the steps are closed not just over fire evacuation concerns, but because of access for the emergency services as well, which are poor enough now and would be a problem irrespective of the tides. It's easy to criticise "...

Chris, as far as I know it's closed until the wooden steps are fixed.

If you enjoyed Apocalypse Now, try Hearts of Darkness, the documentary about the making of the movie. It's as bizarre and emotionally wrought as the movie itself.

I haven't seen it, I heard it was a bit of a chick flick with blokes. Someone mentioned 'chaps in chaps in chaps' on the Oz board. However I think Jake Gyllenhaal is an excellent actor. Full Metal Jacket - a great film sless - a bit of trivia - it was filmed in the UK. I'm a big fan of Kubrick movies.

He was well known in Hollywood as a closet gay!

Those three marriages and all those affairs (with women) must have been a sinister Hollywood cover up.
