Remember it well Pete, used it many times.
First good photos of the station I've seen.

I also think at the end of the 60s they were trying to go more family friendly.

Re: butlins at filey
Great photos Barney, we stayed in white camp which is in the top left hand corner of the map, that's where they stuck all the noisy young ones. I was there in 1967 and 1968 and the bars me and jimmy have mentioned are not on the 1969 map, they must have closed a good few of them down for the start o...

Re: butlins at filey
The Pig and Whistle was the one I was trying to remember Barney, they had a shooting gallery just outside of the bar.

Re: butlins at filey
The Beachcomber was a good little bar Jimmy.
Was the Sportsman bar still there went you went, it was a huge bar with animal heads on the wall, there was a stage at the bottom end of the bar where the group played every night.

Re: some pictures from the south Pacific
Great photos, I was in Jamaica a while back and they have a similar waterfall there, Duns River Falls they call it, we climbed it a couple of times. It was good day out there and a lot of fun.

Those photos got me reminising of last years trip to the Dominican Republic, especialy when you got talking about the food. Anyway I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but here's a few photos of the Angry family at one of the A la carte restaurants. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/thenorthar...

Re: butlins at filey
I went Butlins in 1967 and had such a great time there, went back the following year. They use to put the young ones down at the bottom end of the camp, if I remember rightly it was called white camp. I remember the Beachcomber Bar, it use to have a screen along the wall which use to have thunder an...

Re: MURDERS IN SOUTH SHIELDS
I do not like people that come on these boards and attempt to decieve fellow posters. A few of us know who you are. I think a hell of a lot more than a few know who I am. If anybody had asked me what my name was I would not have denied it, unlike other people. I pride myself on my honesty and integ...

I can only comment on what I see on here, the PMs I obviously know nothing about. As for the Two sidekicks licking the boots, I take it one's me, for the record I've never licked anybody's boots in my life and never will. If anyone on here is having a spat that's got nothing to do with me I don't jo...

If she insulted your wife Pilot that's bang out of order, I did'nt know that. It just seems everybody is jumping on her case over marrasis, which I think each gave as good as they got, but because one goes off in the huff the other one takes the flak for fighting her corner. I've had a go at marrasi...
