Re: Baby Groundhog

It reminds of the caution some people have about searching for intelligent life in outer space and warn that if we find it an...

Re: Some pics of China.....

slow down on the port, red wine and prawns ralph If only Andy... :-) I used to love Port and enjoy a social drink generally, but I have found that in recent years, alcohol of any kind has a very diminished appeal. I do like prawns, but as most of those available I supermarkets these days are nearly...

Re: Some pics of China.....

I've had my knee drained 3 times over the years it gives instant relief if your knee is swollen with fluid, they do it with a rather large needle but its feels more uncomfortable rather than hurting, they just stick you once but draw off the fluid in my case 3 or 4 times then with the same needle g...

Re: Posting Photos

Oh it’s a brilliant camera!! I was deciding between the canon mk111 and Nikon d750 but since I had a previous Nikon DSLRs with all lenses that I already have, I opted for the Nikon d750 and it’s a good full framed camera. I agree re: too heavy, I wanted to take it on my China tour, but it would hav...

Re: Some pics of China.....

My left knee developed a problem 3 months ago. I could barely bend if. I had X-ray and ultra sound last month and found out, arthritis (well no shyte Sherlock, I am in my mid 60’s) and fluid in the knee. It’s this fluid I wonder about. So in the beginning of the tour I was going up and down huge bu...

Re: The Royal wedding

Cannot wait till the next royal wedding. Love a good whinge on how my tax money is ill spent so I do. In the clip I unfortunately saw there was cop's everywhere some even armed. Shame they was not patrolling in Brent where some 98yr old women got beaten up and robbed in her house. Yes, it make me b...

Re: Posting Photos

One of the things that makes Facebook attractive to many, is the ease with which you can share photos, videos etc. When I first joined this site, I used Photobucket to post photos, but that became increasingly complicated as they started to try and increase their revenue stream, which while underst...

Re: Posting Photos

Right now we have lots of rabbits around and so pretty soon we will see the foxes arrive to dine on the plentiful food source. As the rabbits are taken, the foxes slowly fade away to another hunting ground. They seem to leave enough rabbits to regenerate. Mother nature seems to know what she is doi...

Re: Some pics of China.....

Excellent photos Danet. It is very hard to imagine how so much work could be devoted to making the terracotta army for a man who was dead, or the belief that they could in some way participate in activities beyond the grave, but that doesn't detract from the wonder of it all or the very high standar...

Greta shots Ralph ....easy to see why open top chicken runs aren't safe from foxes. I take it you don't keep chickens? Or do you because that awful looks like chicken you are feeding them. Gnads, I have for the last 40 years been feeding 'my' foxes with 12-16 chicken thighs each day, the quan...

Re: What you doing this weekend?

Had a bit of a long weekend with it being Caloundra show day on Friday. The remaining lab Sally is being spoiled rotten and usually within a metre of me. She's allowed inside now and is lapping it up. Won $1000 on the trots yesterday so want down to the bank an paid it of one of the investment prop...

Re: Posting Photos

good photos ralph and thanks for posting I might give imgur a go myself Andy, that is the first time I have used them, and though having to copy and paste each photo one at a time, (as far as I can work out) is a little tedious, it is worth the effort. Champion seems to be the real expert in this f...
