Re: Thankyou Victoria

This virus business is so awful and it looks as though we might have to live with (or d*e from it) for some time to come. Then Just when you feel a bit sorry for yourself you see t...

Re: Sorry some posts lost!

Nice to hear from you gnads. I escaped from Panama a month ago where the government imposed a dry law. I was also dying for a beer and didn't care if it came out of a barrel, a bottle or a can. Unfortunately had to go into a two week quarantine when we got back home, but we managed to get beer. Gla...

Re: surprize

Sam, about a month ago, a recently retired Councilor who had served for a great many years on our local Council, attended a residents meeting at the flats in which I live. He was there to give us advice on fighting a developer's application to build an apartment block very close to ours. For years t...

Re: Afghanistan, the Inevitable Happens

Venezuela would be a nice quick one for them. Interesting. Had report from our trucker friend's in America. U S Marines and equipment heading toward's the San Diego area. Apart from the navel base apparently there is a big U S A F base near there. It will give their troops something to do when they...

Re: Afghanistan, the Inevitable Happens

Venezuela would be a nice quick one for them. Venezuela's President said today: 'If they want a Vietnam, well give them one …' or something close to those words. Bearing in mind the mess they got themselves in trying to unseat the president of Nicaragua, and how long the rebels in Columbia gave the...

Re: Afghanistan, the Inevitable Happens

if Maybe in a few thousand years someone will realise if we spend money on food and aid instead of weapons things will improve, I'm not holding my breath though. When it comes to weapons, powerful financial considerations always seem to win. When it comes to aid, sadly, so much of it is siphoned of...

Afghanistan, the Inevitable Happens

The latest headlines say that half of the people from Afghanistan, who attended the Invictus Games in Sydney, are refusing to return to Afghanistan and are actively seeking permission to remain. This sort of thing seems to happen around the world and not just with Afghanis, after International sport...

Re: Anyone know anything about drones, help needed please!!!

Not a lot being said about drones at the moment, particularly those that brought our airports to a halt. Took my mind back a few decades to when 'unidentified flying objects' (code for Aliens :D ) used to be a frequent occurrence at Warminster. Perhaps people should be taking more water with it.

the ones deploying them should be classed as terrorists and be dealt with under the law as such.
There is some mystery attached to this Sam: were there any drones at all? And the police statement that it could have been their drones that were reported. We probably will never learn the truth. :?
