Stevenson Street ran from Westoe Road to Chichester Road, part of it is still there; from numbers 160 upwards. Highest number is at
Westoe Road end.

Jeff, Tyne Tubes is still there as far as I can ascertain and it is at the other end of Nile Street to where Smiths were and it only looks like offices (not sure if they are still in use). Nothing more annoying than someone who becomes a member of the site and makes a post asking
for information. They then return 17 minutes later expecting a reply, and a reply not being there
at the time they don't ever bother to come back again to check later. Makes one feel used :roll:

There is a photo of the Gatehouse at the entrance to the slaughterhouse from about 1983/4 but
