edit just remembered it was Shaw (memory coming back now)

I went to Mortimer in the late 1960's, and one of my teachers was a Mr Smith (taught games, plus a subject I can't remember). I heard that he'd killed himself. Can anyone give any more details, please? I'd be especially interested in when and where it happened, so I can look it up in the local news...
