I recognise my husband John Sayer on both of these photos. Front row on the right , first photo, and sitting next to the lad with the shield on the second photo, long gone has the dark hair.

After the publicity of his charity walks, big Hec , ran a raffle in the Red Duster, which didn't go down well with the winner. I can recall Joe Vaughan , winning and when asked for his prize , Big Hec took off his checked jacket an said that was it. Joe, being a slim build short man was no amused!,

Mr Smith did teach Games and Maths, I didn't like him at all, first time I was in his class and we had to say who we were , he said not another Clark, he hated my elder brother, and from that day he was always rotten to me. My Gray family started with a Thomas Gray and his wife Johanna Younger Marriage 1787, then their son Thomas Gray and his wife Martha Rippon marriage 1811 then their son William who first married Elizabeth. Young married 1845, Elizabeth died1850 William then married Margaret Emery 1851

re marriage of Thomas Aitcheson his wife was Martha Ann Smith and they were married in South Shields on 1st June 1889. Caroline Hilda White Husband married William Gray.
