yes reve was sunderland daft like me. forget to mention his nephew and my mate was gordon robertshsaw .gordon's granda' was alex pirie a lovely old soul who used to give fish he had caught and would never take a penny . iwonder if Pirie's Quay is still there . i know jimmy pirie still lives in Green...

does anyone remember a tyne pilot called Revely Whale he was my pal's uncle .we used to play darts for the Beehive. i think Reve passed away a few years

Yes, I remember all these people, including the three brothers who lived in Berwick St. One was nicknamed Steptoe and one used to carry a doll around and would scream blue murder if anyone touched it.The other one wore an overcoat that looked as if it had been slashed with a knife,just a mass of rag...

Does anyone remember a chararacter called Accy Baccy who used to hang around the Chi. and Frederick St. area? i recall the barber shop on the corner of chi road it was run by harry moffet and his wife she use to make socks etc. upstairs lived my nanna and granda cook (jack and lizzy) then there were the ramsays who kept greyhounds.the pie shop on john clay street may have been kieths then there was southern...

I used to live in Taylor St. Does any one have any photos of that area .I iived there in the 60's & 70's and was a founder member of St. Mary's youth club

does anyone remember forster's paper shop in Taylor St.? i hung around with freddy for years and had a paper round
at the shop. freddy is a head-master now but i don't what happened to brother john.i lived at 145 Taylor St 3 or 4 doors
