Re: Retired South Shields Solicitor

Did you ever find Mr Duffy?

I think the practice you refer to is Grunhut, Makepeace and Duffy.
They're on Coranation Street in the town.

Re: lash them

I hope Milliband said to their Ambassador something along the lines of "lay one finger on her and you can kiss the millions in foreign aid goodbye..." But, somehow I doubt it.

Re: Goffy, Tony Horne... who was/is the best?

Terry Wogan!! I only listen to Metro in the morning if I have to for the traffic. Otherwise it's the sleepy network all the way for me. Tony Horne is o.k. in small doses. But not everyone is interested in listening to debates about Corrie, I'm a celebrity big brother or karioke-dancing on-ice-ring-i...

Re: Cutting The Cord

When, the now 8 month old, Junior Holderite was born in South Tyneside Hospital I was told the same thing. The most important thing for me was being there.(especially since I'm going to spend half of his life away at sea) I didn't feel very strongly one way or the other about this symbolic act. The ...

Artifically raise crude prices to Tapis price levels Make almost half of fuel costs tax. Place egregious resource rent tax on firms which can produce fuel cheaper th...

Re: Secret South Shields

Still at the Whiteleas end of town... I assume Holder House at one point was actually a house. Anyone know where it was or what it looked like? I know the estate was built on allotments of the same name and; due to the poor, clay soil I can understand why the land was better suited to housing than t...

Re: Working on the river or at sea

Hi everyone. Long time lurker.... first time poster. There are still loads of opportunities for british youngsters to have a rewarding career at sea. Luckily for us, we have one of the best maritime colleges in the world on our doorstep. The son of my neighbour has just signed up with Clyde Marine T...
