Re: Theresa May is prooving to be a right battler!

The problem is, her plan won't get us out, we will be stuck half in half out, obeying but not having a say in future laws and paying 39 billion pounds for the privilege

I watched Mrs May's statement to parliament on Monday afternoon, what a shambles, we are fast becoming the laughing stock of Europe.

Re: brexit

May isn't to blame for this mess Cameron is he got lucky with the Scottish referendum and thought he could do it again, I would have thought with a question so big a 2/3rd majority should have been needed, imagine if the leave vote had won by a single vote, as it is the country is split down the mid...

Re: brexit

I voted leave but if it comes to another vote I will abstain, I turned 70 this year and listening to younger people they seem to think I stole their future just before I exit, so I will not take part in another referendum.

Re: merchant navy personnel

People used to laugh and say Common by name, common by nature, but they were a good company to work for, I was with them from 1968 to 1975 as 3rd mate, 2nd mate and 1st mate and they treat me very well.

Re: Conversations on planes

We fly between 16 and 20 times a year and the one item you must have are earphones, music is optional but stick the earphones on anyway, I,m not antisocial but you get some strange people on planes and they are usually the ones who can't shut up.

Conversations on planes

On longer flights my wife and I quickly put on earphones and listen to music to escape people who drone on at you, but on shorter flights like a recent one from Newcastle to jersey we didn't bother. Big mistake this woman next to my wife took a big deep breath on take off and hardly shut up for an h...

Referee needs a bit gardening leave I think

Just watched the Newcastle v Chelsea game on TV and no way was that a penalty 8) , then the Ref missed a blatant elbow to the face just before the cross which gave Newcastle the equaliser [-X but agent Yedlin came up trumps in the end with a cool OG to give Chelsea all 3 points =D> =D> =D>
