This is why the fat cats laugh and win hands down they don't turn on their own as quickly as the working man, the writer is always the hardest working man going while all his workmates were skivers and over paid to do nothing.

Ah to the left, I think they were pulled down in the early 60s, my grandpartents lived in the flat to the right as you look at the beacon.

i'm sorry to hear Joan died she must only have been about 66 and yes she lived at 36 I'm almost sure i bumped into her around 1966 at a party and I think she was a nurse at that time but i might be wrong.

Laygate was not really my end of town but I did live in lodgings at the Chi from 1964 to 1968 and after a 4pm to midnight shift I used to walk from the pilot jetty to the Chi via western approach and some shots brought back memories, as a kid our Doctors and dentists were both in Laygate lane too, i...

Not sure where he was born but he lived in my house in South Shields as a lad. I have Ridley Scott apples for sale every September :wink:
