was in a pub in London yesterday called the hoop and grapes it was a bit of a real ale pub and had some magazines on the back of one of the books was a review of a book called pubs of south shields apparently there used to be a pub in the market place called "the three indian kings" anyone...

all my stuff is from the 60's

not sure if the green final was produced pre ww2

if so the gazette may have things in their archives

or even other clubs who shields used to play against

i'm not sure how you can say that

all of the stuff that you have posted has always been reviewed well by everyone

and most of the stuff that you have posted has been in the old codgers history roo,

vandalised toilets

dirty buses

fog

drunken brawls

seeing young kids with three bairns

getting dark at 4pm

swimming in the north sea

queing up outside crap nightclubs

dodging spew on the pavements

fights at the fair

north sea wind

and the one day of summer

simonside hall

bus conductors with ticket machines

the green final

the doors on the pavements outside pubs leading to the cellar

trolley busses at chi where the conductor would get off and pull the tramlines in place for the route

morris minors and bubble cars

south shields used to be a lot hotter

so hot the sand on the beach was too hot too walk on
